P.Taffanell - Fantaisie sur Freischutz - Finale

Born in Nuoro, Italy, Vincenzo started his flute studies in M° Corrado Congeddu's class and continued it at "A. Chironi" Music School  in Nuoro where he studied with M°Aldo Nicolicchia, who led him to an outstanding early graduation in 2003 at the age of 19 at L. Canepa State Conservatory in Sassari.

At Accademia Internazionale di Cagliari in Cagliari, Italy, he met his musical mentor: M°Jean Ferrandis. Because of this crucial meeting, Vincenzo decided to leave Italy to continue his studies in Paris at Ecole Normale de Musique A. Cortot.

He studied at ENMP for eight years, developing his musical skills on the flute in M°Ferrandis' class and his chamber music expertise in pianist M°Genevieve Martigny's class. He successfully graduated in Flute (Unanimity of the Jury) in 2008 and in Chamber Music in 2009. Aiming to earn a Master Graduation, he moved to Rome where he was admitted to Santa Cecilia State Conservatory in Flute Performance in M°Enrico Casularo's class, and there he graduated in 2012. The years spent in Rome where particularly important for his knowledge and approach to Baroque music, a repertoire he had always loved. He left the wonderful Città Eterna in 2012 after he graduated with the unanimity and the praise of the jury.

In 2014 he earned his Master of Music Degree at California State University Fullerton, after having served as Teaching Assistant to M°Ferrandis for two years. In 2018 he received his DMA degree at University of Houston.
